Crime Patrol Satark was released on 9th May 2003 and since then it has been among the best indian reality shows aired on television. The reason it is a big hit is that every case is based on a true incident where they are showing the true face of this cruel and brutal society in which we are living. This show is actually very helpful for every Indian so that one can understand his/her country in a better way. Also, it makes you aware of various crimes taking place in our society and gives solutions and ways on how to handle a particular type of case if ever we come across it.
The Crime Patrol team puts all their efforts in bringing out the crimes happening all over the country, especially in India. They present every case in the form of story-telling which is a fiction drama presentation. The prelude and finale of a case makes out a complete story. The plus point of this show is that it aims at looking the'why' behind a crime. They also show how the law keepers bring the culprits into light and stop them from committing the crime. Moreover, the show looks into the sociological aspect behind a crime - both from the victim's and criminal's point of view.
The majority of episodes is hosted by Anup Soni followed by Saptrishi Ghosh and Sakshi Tanwar. It is directed by Subbu and is produced by Vipul D. Shah. Crime Patrol Satark is the winner of Indian Telly Awards in 2013 for the best thriller/crime programme. The production unit of Crime Patrol Satark is Optimystix Entertainment India and is distributed by Sony Entertainment Television(SET).
