Day in and day out we come across various horrendous crimes committed in our city. It’s hard to believe the bitter reality, but such instances serve as a lesson for us all. The only source to know such occurrences is the city crime page of our news paper. When we read it we develop a stereotype notion that this cannot happen to us. The show Crime Patrol makes us realize that there is one extra ordinary criminal behind every innocent face.
Crime Patrol was first introduced in 2003 and yet again Sony is back with its sequel. This show is based on the real life incidents. In every episode we are exposed to a cruel crime. We get to see the role and functioning of the City Police which goes to every possible extend to track the criminal and solve the case.
Every week the show comes up with different themes. For instance last week the focus was on the crimes involving Psychopaths. There were diverse subjects and different issues covered in the four episodes from Monday to Thursdays.
Superstitions, Domestic violence, Kidnapping, Deceit etc., are the different aspects the show has covered so far. We get to see how a common man is trapped and exploited in a situation. There are instances where the culprit is a close relative and is never under suspicion. Money at times is the reason for several crimes. The show serves as an eye opener for people who blindly trust others.
The show is hosted by Sakshi Tanwar and Anoop Soni.... The hosts help us connect with the story in the backdrop of a simple location. There isn’t any glamorous set or outfit one gets to see. Don’t expect anything that will make you question its necessity. It’s real and about reality. It is a learning experience for the viewers.
This show will certainly give courage to every person who is suppressed. It will help him/ her raise voice against crime. Anything which is good or bad doesn't come with an invitation. It can happen anytime with anyone. We see the efforts of the City Police Departments who aren't as bad as portrayed by the movies and media.
We get to see different actors in every episode with some exceptionally great performances. Sakshi Tanwar and Anoop Soni are doing complete justice and are the perfect hosts.
The real identity and names involved in the cases aren’t disclosed. I was able to connect a few episodes with what I have read in the paper. Unlike CID where the proceedings in the Forensic Labs are always questioned, this show is filled only with reality bites which at times are hard to digest.
This show isn’t recommended for children.
