Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag, Irfaan Pathan and Mohammed Kaif lit up the ramp amidst big applause and loud cheer from the viewers in a sparkling show at the Lakme India Fashion Week in New Delhi on Thursday night.
In the last year’s LIFW we saw Zaheer Khan, Mohammad Kaif, Irfaan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh sashay the catwalk. And now on Thursday, it was the slogger Virender Sehwag, Pathan and Kaif who donned the clothes made by top designers in the country and walked the ramp at the Grand Hotel.
Kaif, wearing a black leather jacket and pint strip trousers, smiled and waved at the spectators as he walked along while Sehwag looked elegant in a white jacket and denim trousers.
But among the three stars, the loudest of applause was reserved for pace bowler Irfaan Pathan.
Pathan, sporting a ponytail, simply stole the show from his teammates. The youngster, whose looks could give any model a challenge, wore a velvet jacket and trousers.
The top seven fashion designers -- Manish Arora, Nandita Basu, Nikhil and Shantanu, Rina Dhaka, Rohit and Rahul Gandhi -- came together to make the cricket stars ready for the show.
The show reached a surprising climax when new singing sensation, ‘Indian Idol’ Abhijeet Sawant walked up and delighted one and all with his melodious voice.
Sawant also invited the cricketers to join him as he sang his numbers.
