A young child might wait for few hours to get back to his home from school , a middle class family might wait for 1 st to receive salary, a pregnant woman might wait for a maximum period of 9 months (premature birth !!) for her baby ,but we Indians have to wait for a grueling period of 4 years = 35040hours= 126144000seconds for our men in blue to take on the rest of the cricketing world .
Not many of us are willing to shell out the money for seeing tengulkar , sehwag , brett lee in flesh . We rather prefer shelling out 250 per month and watch the world cup in the comfort of our houses .
This is the first time that sony has bought the rights for ICC World Cup 2003 , 2007 and all the ICC sponsored events such as champion’s trophy etc . Firstly I thought that we viewers would have a gala time watching the cricketing action . Of late I have been greatly disappointed with the poor coverage and packing of the world cup by SET and SET MAX .
SONY had thought that by including a woman hostess would ensure that every desi woman would watch the cricket world cup . I completely fail to understand why in the world is mandira bedi hosting the show – “extra ennings “
Ecen the co host charu sharma’s angreji accent greatly brings down the value of the show . Even his histrionics are un bearable .
On the commentary side also sony gets a big NO NO . Robin singh can’t speak an English sentence fluently .
I sincerely wish that sony would revamp all its cricketing programmes .
