We struggled & wasted almost 2 hrs with mobile with a drowned battery of mobile in front of a cafe making payment via other apps using UPI but failed, & look who saved - CRED.
On November 18th, 2020, one of my credit card's manager called me up and said - "Sir! your card is turning into NPA - Non-Performing Asset. Kindly make a payment, or else it would badly hit your credit score."
Due to pandemic, probably, many of us face a similar situation because of many obvious reasons that hamper one's credit history.
Somehow, I managed to collect a sum of the minimum amount of money to pay to save an account, turning into an NPA asset.
Moment of Truth: As this was the last day and few hours are left, payment via UPI was the only faster way of making payment left that could directly save this account.
I started using PhonePe / Google Pay as suggested by the expert, but literally, god knows why this was not happening. Google Pay was stuck, and similarly, Phone Pe was also wasting our time. I tried changing mobile phones, but both the apps stopped me from making payments due to obvious security reasons.
At last, an idea lit into my head - let's try CRED, with suspicious thought in mind, where these giant apps didn't work, how it is possible that CRED could do. I confirmed the same from the Credit Card Manager if we can use CRED's UPI option to make payment. I got yes from him; now, this was my last option to save myself from going to NPA.
It took only 52 seconds to make a payment, and as usual, I got some reward points as well. Based on this experience, I will use only the CRED app to pay back my credit card payments. I highly recommend it.
