This is to draw your attention to the medical negligence done by Apollo Cradle SCO- 1, 2, and 3, Sector 14, Gurugram.
They have deviated from the standard protocols and norms which hospitals should care and with unethical and unprofessional behavior they exposed to risk to newly born and to pregnant women's life.
Throughout 8months I had a smooth pregnancy until and unless I visited Apollo Hospital in 8month of my pregnancy.
1.During the 8th month when we consulted a 75years old senior gynecologist in Apollo she claimed that I have High blood pressure which was checked by a manual machine and gave medicines for the same.
As soon As I reached home, regularly monitored my blood pressure at home with two different machines was well within the optimum range. I texted Gynecologist and showed her through pictures she still insisted to consume the medicines, which gave a terrible bout of dizziness.
2.Somewhere down the line, this could have been a reason that my water broke one month prior 4th Oct 2020 and we went to the hospital at night.
3.At night the person sitting outside the hospital did not do the temperature check.
4.When the hospital admitted me, night shift doctors were regularly doing the internal check ups during which they were sometimes wearing a mask and sometimes not wearing a mask and were themselves exposing risk to me and my husband during this pandemic situation.
However, I and my husband were taking all our precautions and were wearing a mask throughout.
5.Next day 5th Oct 2020 While performing Csection my husband was inside the operation theater and we learned that the doctors were having a casual talk while performing Csection and were using WhatsApp.
6.Because of this unethical and unprofessional behavior they gave an injury on my newborn's forehead and took my newborn to NICU without informing us about the same.
7.Later my husband went to NICU and saw that there was an injury and took the picture(attached with the application)
8.There were no information no apology no further investigations done for this injury by Apollo Cradle
9.Later when a newborn was shifted to my room the nurse used alcohol sanitizer and was touching the newborn's mouth and nipple shield for feeding again putting a newborn's life in danger, to which my husband corrected them and they argued and later accepted the mistake.
10.Also, just before proceeding to Operation Theatre the hospital staff called Moderna Lab person to collect the sample for covid for both of us and after c section was performed they claimed that I was Positive and my husband was Negative, to which we failed to believe and my husband again called the same Lab person and same day collected another sample and it came negative. It is beyond our understanding that I was positive and in a few hours I was negative the same day.
11.Because of which they charged us 88000/- all irrelevant charges saying that they had to use PPE kits masks shoe covers and extra cost for the same room which we had booked before.
12.For all the medical negligence when we called the cops the management people came together and refused to accept their mistakes saying that the Gynecologist is a Gold Medalist as she cannot do any mistake (even when she gave injury to my newborn)
13.Meanwhile my friend posted the incident on social media and the hospital offered us 5thousand, later 15thousand and at last 30 thousand to delete the post from social media and to sign in a form which says that once we step out from the Hospital we will not be seeking and Legal Assistance. (we gave the audio recording on our phone)
14.My husband refused to take this bribe as 30 thousand refund does not matter but what matters is that the unjustified, inappropriate service, false BP and false Covid Reports, Injury to Newborn, and all the malpractices ought to be brought to the attention of the general public and concerned authorities to prevent any future mishap.
