I was going through a couple of interviews when I got a call from someone named Amit, he used to call me for every minor thing to have happened for the interview. I have shared the proof of his call records. It seemed he was the mediator between the company and the candidate. At first, he shared with me the JD of the job role, and if I acknowledge he will further guide me on the interview process. He said a person will call shortly to understand my career profile and check if I fit into the role and also understand the salary expectation etc. The same happened that day.
After confirming and fixing a date for the interview, I had the 1st round. I was told to do an assignment in 1 day. I did that despite all other regular office schedules and stuff I had. I submitted it on time. I have shown the ppt sent in the mail in the attachment.
Then a final round of interviews was fixed by the mediator 2 to 3 days later. The interview started on time on the specified date and time. A woman started asking my intro and then she told me that we liked your profile but we are very sorry to tell you that this is not the role that we are looking for right now. We have social and paid candidates lined up and we will consider your profile next time. She didn't ask any questions after my intro, just nothing else. The interview happened as if she was just waiting for the candidate to tell this.
I wonder why the companies don't value candidates' time they have invested during the interview process and are simply wasting their time. I am now in a situation of hopelessness and fear, that I don't feel like being interviewed anymore by these vague people.
The Private company's interview processes are very pathetic in India, also it happens that after working for 2 3 years you don't get paid your full salary or the PF contribution. There seem to be more cheaters than genuine organizations and you can't even assume they could be cheaters.
This was clear that there was no clear communication between the mediator and the organization. Amit called and asked about the interview and even he was surprised to know what had happened. This shows how poorly they have communicated.
In short, the 1st round of interviews was done, the assignment was shared within 1 day, but what the. at the end of the final interview? I get to hear that we are currently not interested in this position.
Whose loss? it's mine. Must be that person's too, but I am not concerned about him. Cosmos may be a big brand, but it should improve its interview process.
