Purchased vacation membership for 5 years with 6N/7D per year and additional 2 weeks as bonus. While purchasing sales people gave multiple fake offers like Private Island Resorts are covered in Maldives. Airport pick up/drop are free, just need to give 2-3 days of advance intimation to book, membership can be cancelled anytime etc. After purchasing,
1) for my 1st vacation plan, they put restriction on number of rooms that can be allocated saying because of peak season rooms are not available, but ironically they asked me to pay for additional room.
2)When I enquired about Maldives resort options, they gave me only public island options and said private islands are not covered and need to pay on my own, if I want to book resorts in private islands.
3) Even though I mailed 3 weeks in advance for hotel booking, they simply said not even a single Hotel/Resort are available in both Bangalore, Chennai. But when I check on any travel portal every Resort/Hotel listed in their website have rooms available.
4) Considering all these bad experiences, I have asked them to cancel my membership and issue refund. But now they are denying saying cancellation is not allowed.
Even when we raise about fake promises by sales persons, they simply ask for written proofs. When I told them, I had WhatsApp chat with sales person, then they flipped statement, those sales persons left the company, so we didn’t consider it. Even when we raise any questions over email, they simply call and later reply back on email, saying as discussed over call queries are addressed, but they don’t reply to email with what is discussed, as they don’t want to give any written evidences.
Update:
After raising concerns on public forums(Google, Twitter, Mouthshut and Consumer Complaint Forums), they have called back to cancel membership and refund some amount. Confirmed over email as well, will refund 1st EMI on 30th Oct 2023 and 2nd EMI on 17th Nov.
But 1st EMI they refunded on 13th Dec(6weeks from committed date), after multiple follow-ups. All lies in that process on why it’s getting delayed like
i) Saying bank server was down! (Not sure which bank server goes down for 6 weeks).
ii) Said transfer was initiated and it will get credited next day by noon. As no transfer should take that long to get credited, have asked them to share screenshot of transfer. It’s an INOS transfer, that too HDFC to HDFC bank transfer, which will be immediate. So only after asking for screenshot they have transferred, but claimed to have transferred previous day.
Post transfer, when I asked them to give date for 2nd EMI, they said Jan 18th. Initial committed difference between both EMI’s was 18 days. As there was delay of 6 weeks from initial commitment, anyone would expect early credit or atleast sticking to initial commitment for 18 days, but they follows that as well and said 2nd EMI will be after 34 days from 1st. When questioned, why there is change from initial commitment, not ready to answer. When requested to schedule call with their senior management, they initially agreed, but after 2-3 missed commitments, again denied call as well.
There are multiple missed commitments and even after 3.5 months from inital commitment date and 1.5 month from 2nd commitment date, it's still not paid. All they say is technical issues!
Even gave option to send cheque to avoid technical issues. It has been 1 month and still they are saying discussion with management on sending cheque as option.
