So before I teach you how to keep your hard disk clean, Lemme tell you why you should do that.
Lets look in technical side of it.As most of us know, any program/ Software is loaded in the RAM, before execution. But Say if the program is more that your RAM, then what? Then Virtual Memory Comes into play.So now only the part of the Main Program, which is beeing executed, stays in the Memory. Rest of the program stays in Virtual Memory(nothing but Hard disk).
For the people who found all of the above as GREEK, All I am sayin is, more the free space in your hard disk, chances are that your computer will work faster. So just do what I say.
C L E A N I N G:
#1) Open the TEMP folder in Windows Directory(C:\Windows\temp). Now select all the Files in this Folder n delete them.
Uh Huh.Dont try to act smart and delete the entire folder. It is required by many applications /Setup, so just do what u r told to do.
#2) NOW Press F3 on your Keyboard, 'Find Files' option will pop up. Now Just type the following options(one by one) and delete all the listed files.
.tmp
.OLD
.$
.temp
.bak
.log(DO NOT DELETE ANY INSTALL.LOG)
#3) Delete all the themes and screen savers to boost your system's Performance.
