GETTING CHEATED BY A CITIGROUP EMPLOYEE

During March 2006 I got a call from Citigroup. They requested for an appoinment from me for a Citibank Relationship Manager to meet me.

The objective was to help me out in financial planning and helping on investment.

He got all the details from me. I would like to say one thing here. I am techie and not at all aware of the various aspects of financial trends. I was also not aware that they sell insurance in the name of investment.

I told him my requirements and he illustrated me an ULIP plan but with different outcome and later as per the government stipulated norms what is the return.

He kept saying me that the whole investment plan is flexible and it can be changed at any point of time.

He made me invest a huge sum at Birla Sun Life - ULIP plans.

Later when I was going through rediff columns, I got more information about it.

I became alarmed and tried calling him franctically to understand what has happened. He never responded back.

Then I called Birla Sun Life. They were kind enough to explain me the details and clarify my doubts.

I realised that I was cheated by Rishu Kant Pasi, for achieving his targets or whatever. Whatever he told me was not fully true. He never mentioned me that the policy can be returned with in 15days of receipt.

My intention of making this post is to make people aware that do not believe in anyone who comes even from a very reputed organisation and talks about investement. Take time in analysing it and understanding it. Go through the documents carefully.

Especially the persons like RISHU KANT PASI should be idenfied and should be stopped from cheating the public.
