My friends have children and grandchildren's, so I buy beads at Wal-Mart, the letter beads at Wal-Mart, both found in craft department. You can get a bag of beads and letters for about$7.00. Get string or yarn, not the high plastic they say to used for necklaces.
String and yawn will make lots, lots of necklaces. To get a point on your yawn paint the tip with fingernail polished and let it dry and then you have a stiff string to poke your beads through.
Just their children's names or grandchildren's name between colorful beads is a perfect gift for Christmas or what ever.
And If a new child or grandchild born, this has happen to me, have your friend give the necklace back, and do another one.
And picture frames. The real pretty ones with little things glue on them. Or angels in scroll. You can find real pretty frames at Dollar stores cheaper and just as nice like you bought it at the higher price stores.
To dress up the plain gold frames is easy too, just glue lace on the back and you will be surprise at the change.
You don't have to spend a lot of money as gifts, just your time.
Don't forget your own Mother, make her one too with your name and siblings.
