I was planning to install an inverter at home but was hesitant because of the costs and wiring involved and also because I dont face frequent power cuts in chennai. After reading a review on Mouthshut about Nippo rechargeable fan, I decided to go for it.
I bought the fan for Rs 1650 from Mercy electronics, Thiruvanmiyur. It comes with a six month warranty.
It has the following features:
AC/DC function
2 speed oscillation
5 pieces LED night light
Fan: 6hrs backup for low-speed
4 hrs backup for hi-speed
LED: 60hrs backup
Over charge and over discharge protection
Charge for 15-18 hrs before initial use
To be charged fully at least once every 3 months
Rated Voltage: AC 90V - 280V
Charging Time: 15-18 hours(Approx)
Battery: 6V 5Ah sealed lead acid battery
LED: 52500 mcd
RPM: Low speed-800, High-speed-1200
During power cuts airflow from the fan is sufficient to prevent sweating if its kept close enough. In areas where power cut is not frequent, this is the best solution.
