My food processor is a Quick 'N Easy Black & Decker FP1300. Since so many processors come in so many sizes, this brand was just right for the size of my family.
This food processor has a large 8 cup bowl with two speeds, high and low plus it has a pulse speed. The chopping blade also mixes and minces. The reversible disc for slicing and shredding. Removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe.
On the slicer, you can use foods like cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, olives, pizza toppings, and more.
On the shredder, you can use cabbage, carrots, spinach, etc.
The chop/mince, you can do onions, peppers, eggs, apples, melons, and nuts.
On the mix/blend, which is one of my favorite's, you can make soup, sauce, salsa, salad dressings, and dough.
This processor will not run, if the cup is not snap into place correctly. You still use caution when running food processors. Good advice is not to chop ice up in a food processor. One it can dull the sharp blades and scratch up the clear hard plastic cup. This appliance comes with a polarized plug and a tamper resistance screw that holds the bottom parts so wires will not be expose and reduce for any electrical type shock.
This product I really find very useful and it does save me time. One of the things that might help you understand why I like this product and it being a eight cupped size. Example, I like to take 2 lb. of cheeses and shred it up and put into heavy zip lock bag and put back into the refrigerator. Then when a recipe calls for cheese, a salad to be made or pizza to fast meal. My cheese is ready and waiting. Quick N Easy it is!
