Story:

The Hill of Holy Man’s

“Love is the law of God and all the commands are given to you, I'm taking off all and give a freedom to you.”

  • Mirdad (From the book of “Kitab-E- Mirdad, Hindi version of “the Book of Mirdad”.)

This book is written and composite by authoress Amrita Pritam about a journey which is very difficult to understand. I don’t mind this is an imagination of authoress or her real life incident. This book is looks like a mirror which will shows you the real image of yourself. If I write about this book assuming that it is true than I will say it is the journey of authoress to a hill which is known as “The Hill of Holy Man”. But these Holy Man’s are not representative of any specific religion or has not any interest in such religions. They have interest in spreading the prosperity and peace on earth.

A Shepherd helped authoress to reach on the hill but before that he asked some questions. Check out this conversation:-

I asked – “Baba, Do you know the way to ‘The Hill of Holy Man’s’?”

He asked –“Are you going there?”

I replied-“Yes Baba, I started my journey for many years to reach there.”

He asked-“Do you came empty handed?”

I said-“Yes Baba, take a look, I have come up empty-handed.”

He asked-“Had you wearing any ring and impression of fame and publicity?”

I presented my both hands with arms and fingers with emptiness.

He then looked at my forehead, and began to say –“Have not you have particles of vanity, arrogance and pride in your forehead?”

I had to laugh, and said-“After saying ranjha-ranjha, I became a ranjha.”

He laughed and said-“The peoples come here to reach on hill, have carrying burden which effects that they never reach on the hill.”

In the above conversation, I found lot of spirituality and knowledge. When people will free himself from the burden of problems of life then he can found such a place like “The hill of Holy Man’s” to get the peace.

Authoress reached by night on “The hill of Holy Man”. But she can hear the poetry, poem, songs and ghazals of many famous writers, poets, Sufi poets and singers. When they recited their words, a light was glimmering there. I don’t understand what to say about “The hill of Holy Man”, truth or imagination, because authoress made live this place by putting her magical words. According to authoress many writers, poets and singers came here every year to get the live experience of the night of Lightening.

Authoress presented many songs, poem, Ghazals and Nazm of Many famous and old Poets, singers and Sufi saints which will open your mind, heart and sense. These poems also proving that authoress is not only a good writer else a good poet also.

All Holy Man’s who assembled on the hill recited their poems to remember a person “Mirdad”. Authoress put her words about Mirdad with a story. “Mirdad” came in existence by the writer “Mikhail Naimi” in his book “The book of Mirdad”. Authoress also represented the short biography of “Mikhail Naimi” and how he came in touch with “The Book of Mirdad”. I don’t want to tell the story about this because it’s a myth and it will be good if you read it yourself and understand it.

Authoress also represented a short biography of writer “Khalil Gibran”, the author of “The Prophet”. There are some more 3-4 world famous short stories by famous writers. These stories take you towards the divine world where you can learn the lesson of love, faith, kindness etc. Authoress had also post her 3-4 poetries in end of the book.

About Authoress: - Amrita Pritam

Everyone knows about the Amrita Pritam and her works.
