I have a bad experience with Beat. I got a LT model in the end of Mar 10. I have driven close to 3500 Kms (One trip between Hyd to chennai) and also completed the mandatory first service. The vehicle is delivering a milege of paltry 8.2 Kms in Hyderabad city and 11.8 in NH-7. The dealers are not co-operative and refuse to touch the vehicle for tuning/service before 5000 Kms, which translates into spending of 12 K on fuel alone before next service. Equally bad, General Motors is prompt only in sending a auto response to my mail dated 3rd June, telling that it will be solved within 24 hours but no action visible after that. Next I called their call centre five times today to launch a complaint and first time, the call centre agent simply put down the phone. Second time, he cheated me without registering a complaint and told me that the complaint no. will follow in the cell. Since there was no message on cell, I called again thrice post lunch, and promptly got disconnected two times. Third time, I had to use all sort of threats to get the complain registered and get a no. from the agent.

I feel GM is making us guniea pigs to test their products in India. I am extremely unhappy with both the company as well as its dealer's service levels.

Pls think twice before going to Beat again. Don't suffer like me.

Thanks.

---------Update on 17th Sep 2010--------------

Friends, to update, I have now done the mandatory second service and also done the oil changes. I am now driving around 1000 Kms/month (in city), despite my hectic out station travels.

The Performance on milege front has not drastically improved after first service. Mr. Sundar, Service engineer assigned to my vehicle at Kun Chverolet promised me that he has reset the fuel logic but the mielge now averages 11 to 11.5 kms of every filling. Post this, I also called up the service follow up team on my own and told them I did not get anything better out of the service, except a proper clean up and they are yet to revert back to me on the milege front. I feel up giving up now on milege front and rescind to fate.

As regards, the attitude of the company and Dealer, I find there is no change. The Dealership service point is getting more clumsy on every visit. I feel these guys should learn what is customer service. I am now in touch with another Dealer Service in Vijaywada, whose service levels have been recommended best. He has agreed to look at the car for servicing.

Also, the current Dealer is a common Dealer for Hyundai as well as GM in Hydeabad and has a service point at the next compound for Hyundai. Every service in GM is double that of Hyundai, right from Nitrogen filling (150 in Hyundai to 300 for Cheverolet), Under carriage painting (Rs.1450/- for Hyundai to Rs.3100/- for Cheverolet), I get a feeling that GM is happy in not only treating its customers well, but does not treat its own Dealers also well. The other service Provider in Hyderabad city is equally bad and several of my friends in Hyderabad have much tales to tell of them. The rattling noise has also started now inside the car and I feel that the Power steering is also getting harder day by day.

Please share your experiences to make life better with Beat and not gettig beaten up.

Thanks,

Carlover2010
