Inky Pinky Ponkey, Charlie's a lucky Donkey..... when we watched Charlie's Angels a action-adventure-n-comedy flick, inspired by the popular television series, we couldn't help but love the angels & sing this silly rhyme. Since then I've seen this movie so many times, it's my favourite no-brainer flick & I was looking forward to watch the sequel to this blockbuster where our indomitable crime-fighting heroines reunite to kick some serious buttts.

The Plot:
Did I say Plot? well, who cares what the story is as long as we have our three angels hunting the bad guys & having the time of their life! Where else can one see a pack of beauties fighting in spike-heels or posing as strippers, nuns, ship-welders, surfing gals & believe it or not even as crime-scene technicians! As the story goes; once upon a time there were three gals..........
'Inky' Alex (Lucy Liu) is one who is master at everything! An expert chess player, Olympic gymnast, she can also defuse bombs, knows ballet, is a neurosurgeon, aerospace engineer and what not! However, nothing [and no one] can keep her interested for long; she is on a 'time-out' with her boyfriend Jason.
'Pinky' Natalie (Cameron Diaz); starry-eyed ever smiling goofy gal, a research scientist, a world-class auto racer who loves to jiggle, looks like a supermodel, has the best of everything & is blissfully unaware of her charm!
'Ponkey' Dylan (Drew Barrymore) this plump cute ponkey was a wild child, a romantic free spirited gal who has been through so many odd jobs; a cop, a wrestler, yoga instructor & even as a rodeo! Somehow she always ends up falling for the wrong guy [typically piscean, I must say, lolz].
Oh ya, there is a story too.....The trio now works for the mysterious Charles Townsend - who communicates with them through speakers, under the direction of Bosley. This time the Angel's assignment is to recover two titanium ''Halo'' rings that, when combined, decodes the new identities of people in the nation's witness protection program. This information is worth a lot to some mafia gangs who want to get even with those who squeaked them out.
When the rings go missing & witnesses start to turn up dead, our angels using their expertise as masters of disguise, espionage & martial arts are once again ready to strike without warning as they go undercover to retrieve the two missing bands. The suspects are many including a former Angel Madison Lee [Demi Moore] who now has a new funda ''Why be an Angel when I can play God?''. Then there is also the re-appearance of the mysterious Creepy Thin Man who surprises the trio with his sudden change of heart [me was surprised too!]. Soon the investigation turns personal as the Angels discover that one of the them is listed on the Halo rings.....

Claps for:
The first action sequence, where the Angels are in a truck on a high bridge trapped between an oncoming truck & a tank at the rear.....
The ship's hull sequence; superb stunts
The Motorbike race
The trio's rap- dance number to M.C. Hammer's ''U Can't Touch This''; cute!
Jason explaining Inky Alex's 'work' to her father!
err.... the stripper dance
first appearance of Demi Moore in the film [drooooool mottibilli!!]
Two super-cool dialogues by Pinky Natalie to Madison : ''Your Boss Sucks'' & ''I've something that you don't have... My Friends'' [clap clap!!]

The Film/Performances:
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle is directed by McG who has brilliantly come up with a film that is packed with huge action sequences much like the Bond films; only with the lady James Bonds here & this time they can fly too! [so Neo ain't the only one who can do a 'superman' stunt, eh?]. Though there is nothing new or great in the story, the whole look of the movie, characters & scenes make the film very likeable & a successful sequel.
The trio: Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore & Lucy Liu are equally good in their performances as well as those never-ending costume changes but its Diaz who stands out with her charm & personality. There seems to be a natural friendship feeling between the three which works very well as this part shows more of bonding between the trio.
Demi Moore as the Madison, the angel turned bad is awesome! Looking better in a bikini than a much younger Diaz, she lights up the screen & can easily give the trio a run for their money. There is also a surprise blink-n-miss pop-up by Moore's ex-husband Bruce Willis. We have a new Bosley in the sequel... who is ok shokay but not a patch on Bill Murray, I missed him!
The Full Throttle soundtrack ain't as good as the original flick but some of the songs are placed in funny situations which make the scenes fun to watch. The songs which I could catch up with were: Living on a Prayer - Bon Jovi, Last dance - Donna Summer, Raindrops keep falling on my head, An everlasting love - Natalie Cole and of course Hammer's U can't touch this.

My Word:
Seriously, I wasn't expecting anything great from this flick coz sequels usually suck & I knew that this is just a feel-good fun film, yet it turned out to be a paisa-vasool entertainer! I enjoyed every scene & didn't snooze mid-way [like I did in Matrix Reloaded, lolz]. Don't watch this flick if you want to get a dose of who-is-what or why we are here on earth blah blah..... None of these girls are role models who want to prove something, these are sexy, sassy n smart girls with a wicked sense of humor who tell us to be just to be who we are. Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle is just a pure action-packed escapism, so do leave your brains at home & watch the angels. Meantime, I hope there is a triquel [trilogy, whatever] to this one....
