”…The thrill in life is being a superman …”
Some points we generally hear and you would hear in next tons of review would be …
I am not a hardcore James bond fan…
Its too british and I don’t like british movies…
For god sake, these bond actors just can’t act…
What is so great about these stunts you can see that in most of the thriller movies…
This movie is for ad goers as it has got lots of promotion of Sony and Smirnoff.
I am not saying everyone is a fan of bond movies but yes bond movies are made for thrill and action and if some one tells you that if you see one bond movie you have seen it all then you are absolutely wrong.
I was one of those lucky Hutch customers who got a call for the premier of Casino Royale at Cinemax and I wouldn’t for anything loose this opportunity to miss the most handsome bond (don’t want to sound gay) in the history of James Bond.
I always used to have fight with my father arguing Sean Connery to be the best bond of all time and the bond in me is all because of my father he has seen all the bond movies and made it a point to make me watch them too, no doubt the beautiful ladies in those movies.
Now, what do the new James had to offer the world …
The stars…
The story of bond would be penned by many reviewers here hence wouldn’t want to start on that first. Let me tell you one thing why Bond rules, ignore the critics….
a. The Tuxedos rule and nothing charms the beautiful ladies then a guy in the most amazing Tuxedos.
b. The class rules with the way James talks and his dry sense of humor kills any ladies in one shot.
c. The mean machines can be a killer blow and the way James drives we all know can even beat Mr Schumacher driving the fast lane.
d. The killer drink called Martini with a flavor of vodka, Gin and Lillet Blanc Wine, though the old world says James doesn’t include Gin in his Martini.
e. Last but not the least the major gadgets used is every guy’s dream.
So tell me heart of heart if you are a guy and if some one tells you that …
You are going to wear the best Tuxedo, Ladies all around , the dream car, the gadgets of your dreams and of course the drink that can make your day. So anyone who says , he is not a fan of James bond then of course he is fooling himself.
The Movie
The say , it is one of the best bond movie made and I would definitely like to agree. Ian Fleming wrote this movie way back and one of the first script written by Ian Fleming but unfortunately was never made and I would say that it is blessing in disguise because it couldn’t have been made in this way and they wouldn’t have Daniel Craig. We have got a new Bond and with grace he takes over from Pierce Brosnan as the new 007. The latest offering is very simple and easy about International Terrorist Banker Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen) who is planning to play a high profile poker game and use that money to fund his terrorist activity. Now this high profile poker game had to be played because 007 had foiled his plan earlier due to which he had to use a much easier way to fund his activity.
For playing this high profile game, 007 has got a beautiful aid in a Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) (not so beautiful probably not one of the graceful Bond Girl) the treasury official who would be helping bond play the poker game and making it possible for 007 to win the game.
I don’t want to be spoil sport in revealing more about the movie.
This movie is about the return of 007 in a new persona and that persona would be of 007 falling in love and expressing his love for the lady. Most of the time 007 is flirtiest and never care’s much about the lady but this time the tables have changed and 007 has actually fallen in love.
The action sequence in this chapter of 007 as usual are of top class especially the chase in the jungles of Africa between 007 and the bomber is amazing don’t miss this part of the action.
The chemistry between the leading lady and 007 is amazing the conversation in the train between them is the best part of the movie as the Ego of 007 is matched up with Ego of Vesper and both of them trying to match each other with amazing one liners.
As far as acting is concerned M (Judi Dench) at the age of 72 has got the same charm as any younger ladies would have and with such amazing cold response she has delivered those dialogues. In one of the scene where she has been woken up in her sleep one should see how she delivers the dialogue which could give any actor/actress the complex.
Eva Green definitely is not the right lady for 007, though most of you might find her beautiful she doesn’t have the grace and she is definitely not sexy enough to be a Bond girl. The super stars of most Bond movies are their villain’s but this is the one thing missing in this movie as Mads Mikkelsen neither looks mean nor has the ability to make you shiver.
Daniel Craig has arrived and arrived big time because his amazing looks and most important with such panache he delivers dialogue also one of the most agile 007 in the history of James Bond Movies. If any one says that Daniel is not that great as Bond then should take a look at it and should look at it in Theatre on big screen
This movie missed one thing but with so many good things to see you can ignore it. Things which you might miss as a hard core bond fan:
The Gadgets
This movie is not for people who feel …
Bond movie is not their type. Who feel conversational movies is boring.
This is for people who feel Bond gives your male ego a boost, for them action and Dry humor is the order of the day.
Go and enjoy this ride with 007.
Best way to enjoy movie is on Big screen not with Pirated Cds. Don't promote piracy you are not only enjoying the movie you are taking jobs of so many people who work hard to make a movie happen.
