SHAMBU -THE OX ;TB OR ?desecration . Review on Cardiff

IT WAS A SHOCK TO SEE THE BRITISH COPS INVADE A HINDU TEMPLE, THE SECOND LARGEST IN UK ON TV SCREENS , TO TAKE AWAY A SYMBOLIC CALF AWAY FOR THE ABBATTOIR TO BE SLAUGHTERED .the excuse is the ox has bovine tuberculosis and according to public health issues is unsafe , the reasons would be valid if the ox was breeding but no he is isolated and kept in a temple for worship .the excuse given is lame and makes the argument for providing hinduism , islam and other religions with the same privileges as christianity and judaism even stronger .particularly in the aftermath of such silly events when bovine tb is non infectious and particularly in an ox who is not capable of being milked , any way it couldve been treated.

The last time there was an uproar when ploice entered a mosque in bradford with boots and dogs , this just goes onto emphasize that there needs to be more debate in U.K about other religions , as they dont seem to have any clue as to how to deal with 12%of their population , i wonder whats next but despite the pleas of the hindu community the calf has been put down .Its surely a disgrace as it shows lack of respect and sensitivity for other faiths and their beliefs .the matter is being discussed but its too late as the trauma has been devastating and people are feeling outraged .

I wonder whats next as is this religious hatred or is it downright racism ?anyway the legalities were obviusly not covered and the slaughter of the ox is just as controversial as the hanging of saddam .Reggratable as the cops arrested priests and also caused disruption to an ongoing religious ceremony .Mr gordon brown seems to be pleasing a largely anglo saxon community who want everything their way , but this is not going unchallenged .it was very disturbing as all the cops were restraining worshippers and carrying them out of the temple.

It couldve been done if necessary at a more aproppriate time but no they had to make a tv circus out of it as if mocking another community to say come on lets see what you can dobritish democracy is not honoured by these silly incidents as it shows a total disregard for minorities and the definition of democracy is rule by the majority for the minority anyway I hope the asian community can do something as they have been impotent for too long and this is the cosequence of that very fact .would this have happenned in canterbury cathedral or in westminster abbey .i think not thanks for reading
