Candies is a very popular cafe at Bandra known for its aesthetics. That's what I heard about it through a friend and also on google searches, it was very first cafe as the result of Beautiful and affordable cafes at Bandra. So, I wanted to give it a try I went there with one of my friends as it was new year eve everything was very exciting. We went there in the morning at around 11 am. It is at Pali hill, Bandra so if you are travelling via train, you will need an auto to reach the location the fare would be roughly around 30 to 35rs max 40rs. There is this beautifully written Name of the cafe which already starts giving a peaceful vibe I must say. The decor and entry setup are simple and cute at the same time. The lightings inside are not very bright and gloweyy but dim silent peaceful fairy lights type and fully air-conditioned. On the right-hand side there is counter for taking orders and there are different cuisines displayed which looks very tempting. Beside that is dessert counter also displayed with colorful and cute desserts. We ordered CHICKEN LASAGNE(300rs). A pink lemonade(150rs) and Cappuccino(150rs) total adding tax etc. was around 650rs. As it was early morning, we didn't go for much heavy food or too much food to be precise.
They give us bill and asked to wait until the order is ready to eat. It was nearly 10 to 15 mins maximum waiting period. We had to do self-service from here. There is no waiter to serve or something after billing its self-help kind of thing. So, we got our order, and we started exploring. There are multiple floors I guess total in three floors. The base one where we got our food is closed and air-conditioned room to go any further and explore there is this rule you cannot just sit and chill you have to buy something, and you are allowed to go forward only after that. So, as we got our order we went forward towards the stairs and there that was something different for other local restaurants the property was very beautiful and well maintained with aesthetics and cleanliness was on point as well. There were different plants and trees all around it was open space and nice chairs and tables were arranged with proper personal space. We felt like we are in some other country. There was not much noise, the property was built like a bungalow with lots of windows and sitting setup at every window. there was another floor up with the same setup, but we dints go any farther as we already were hungry and just wanted to sit and eat as soon as possible. We got a place to sit, and it was very empty as it was early morning. One thing I liked was below every sitting near wall there was a charging spot, so it is place if you want to work, study or just chill alone with your gadgets.
We had food while chilling and talking peacefully. There also little cats roaming around there they are very cute no question, so we played around with them, as well. We clicked pictures every corner was perfect to click pictures with proper natural sunlight.
If you are searching for place to avoid world chaos and spent time with yourself or your loved ones this is great place. But regarding to food one thing I was satisfied with was whatever you ask in the morning they say its unavailable at the moment. They have this huge menu but when placing the order everything is unavailable so in short, we have to order according to what that have prepared and not what we want to have. The chicken lasagna we ordered was good in taste. The quantity was fine as well.
I would not recommend this place if you just want to fill your stomach, but you are explorer who likes to visit new places this could be your next destination.
