Before I start my review I should say it's great to come back to Mumbai and to Mouthshut after my holiday to Canada. I went there to stay in Holiday Inn, Toronto. I stayed there for a month and came back.
Introduction
I'm sure as most people know, it is one of the largest countries in the world, second largest I think. Consisting of 10 provinces and 3 territories, it has a huge areas of vast beautiful landscape. One thing I've definitely noticed when I came hear is that so many areas are just forests and trees, like a museum of nature. It would be a camper's heaven. The current prime minister of Canada is Jean Christine, and the current monarch is Queen Elizabeth II. The capital of Canada is Ottawa located in Ontario.
While I stayed here
One thing I'll surely remember of my trip here is the major blackout which is known to be the biggest blackout Canada and America has had in history. It lasted for about 20 hours for Toronto, and boy were we relieved when the lights came back on. It was interesting though, as I've never been in a blackout before. I learnt to ration my water for sure!
Apart from the blackout I visited many places including Montreal, Niagara Falls(Canadian Side), Mississauga, and ,Ottawa.
Canada- Tourist Spots
Here are some of the places I visited:
Montreal: Montreal is a delightful place to be with a french flavour. It was a 6 hour drive from Toronto. I stayed there at a friend's house for 2 days and came back. In the two days, one of the favourite places I went is the Botanical Gardens there. It was beautiful. I saw so may types of plants, flowers, and my favourite, bonzais. There was also a huge stadium and some museums which were good too. There was a plantetarium there also, but sadly I couldn't see it. The night life in Montreal is very crowded, and full of lights and laghter on the streets.
Niagara Falls: Who hasn't heard about the beautiful breath taking Niagara Falls. It was magneficient. I loved the whole scene, and at night when it turns dark, they lit the waters with multi-colour lights. Wow! There was a 1 and a 1/2 hours trip from Toronto to Niagara.
Ottawa: I think I like Ottawa best for it's architecture. The streets and the buildings are just made like palaces or some olden times' building. It's beautiful. Ottawa is about 1 hour away from Montreal. I liked the boat rides there.
Mississauga, Hamilton: Mississauga and Hamilton is what Puna might be to Maharashtra. Nothing musch to see except maybe a few parks here and there. It's just a residential area. My distant relatives live in Mississauga so we just visited there.
Toronto: Toronto has some nice places to visit including the huge Royal Ontario Museum. It was very educational and well organized. I thing it had about 6 or seven galleries, my favoutite one being the Egyptian Wing. In my hotel room omve when I turned on the T.V., I saw the Guiness World Records Prime Time and was shocked to see that the CN Tower is the tallest building in the world. The CN tower was very much fun and I loved the view at the top. The only thing scary was when my friend told me she once got stuck midway for 2 hours!
Places I didn't see, but heard of are: The world's biggest shopping mall in Edmonton. Newfoundland's Gros Morne National Park. And definitely the Rocky Mountains.

Canada- The Residential point of view
This is one tiny spot in my review dedicated to the residential life here in two main branches- Education and Economy. Warning: I don't know much about it so it's very short.
Education: Universities here are highly recommended here in Ontario be it it University of Toronto, Mcgaill in Montral for engineering or McMaster in Hamilton for medicine. Schools: The public schools here are supposed to be good from ninth grade is what I've heard, and they're free The private are much much better and are a grade higher from the public, but are very expensive.
Economy: Economy is supposed to be not that nice fro the expats here. Only highly qualified get more jobs. The people who have studied have a much higher chance or those who have Canadian experience.
