How would you feel, when you know that the world is coming to an end and you got to do what you have to do, before it’s the end. Can't Hardly wait is one such story about high school seniors who are about to explore the last of their unfulfilled exploits before its so late that they may not have the chance. So they have to do all they have to do at the party being hosted at one classmate’s house. They are going to put all their worries about future to the back of the head have a ball of a time, since it would probably be the last time they all would be together.
Preston Meyers (Ethan Embry), who has a fascination for Amanda Beckett (Jennifer Love Hewitt). For four years He was seated beside her, but she hardly took notice. He somehow feels that there is a cosmic connection between Amanda and himself that they are made for each other. He wants to propose to her in the party.
Denise (Lauren Ambrose), is a girl wo is least interested in any party stuff. She is a close friend of Preston, and would go to the party just to give company to Preston.
Mike Dexter (Peter Facinelli), is whom Amanda is seeing since four years. Since highschool is over, and they would go to college, Mike Dexter thinks that life would be better with more girls sans commitment. So just before the party, He breaks of with Amanda. He wanted his other friends to do the same to their girls. So he wants them to do this at the party.
William Lichter (Charlie Korsmo) is a bright kid. Future looks great, and considered among the intellect as brilliant and others as a geek. He has one score to settle with Mike Dexter. So He and his friends plan to do something awful to Mike Dexter at the party.
Kenny Fisher (Seth Green) has just one intention of going to the party. He wants to have a one night stand with any girl he may bump into.
At the party, every thing goes topsy turvy, all the while Preston was trying to get Amanda's attention but fails. Denise gets locked up in the bathroom with Kenny. Mike Dexter, has a major time, trying to impersonate the GnR, while he sings Paradise City, and gets popular with the girls. All the while Mike Dexter is trying to convince his friends to break off with their girlfriends, while He meets another High school senior who convinces him that it’s not so good back at the college. Now Mike Dexter wants to get back to his girlfriend Amanda. While the place becomes a mess at the party, Preston is desperately trying to show Amanda how he feels about her. Will he or wont he?
What I liked...
They show on screen profile about each and every character. When it comes to showing William Lichters profile He had almost a scroll full of list in the hobbies section. While Denise had none.
William doing a rock star stuff to the song Paradise City.
The way Preston gives up hope and dumps the letter he wrote for her, and how it lands back to her.
The cast performances were pretty OK. I guess playing the teenager isn't so hard. Everyone did their part well. Jennifer Love Hewitt has the same facial expression like in ''I know what you did Last Summer''. Seth Green does a great job either being Scot evil, Dr. Evils son in Austin Powers 2, or a sex starved teenager in ''Cant Hardly Wait. Lauren Ambrose was convincing. Ethan Embry was the one who takes the limelight for this one. May be one reason could be because the whole movie revolved around his character alone.

Try having forty drunk men grabbing your a**, one groom to be throwing up all over you and then have your car break down at 2am and then you can talk to me about having a bad night, OK?
And for desserts ...
There are people like that in real life, those who snub you , take your for granted, walk over you, take advantage of you, and whats being shown on one such flick is no different. People like Mike Dexter , who constantly makes Williams life miserable, thinking that a college life would be a 24/7 orgy. But then its one night of party that is shown , and has shown many faces of people.
