Euphoria – the look up will tell you that the meaning for this word is Extreme happiness or excitement. If that is true, then Calvin Klein named it right. For me, CK’s Euphoria will always remain special as the first gift from my husband. It was days before marriage and even though we met only months back, somehow he had deciphered the idea of my best gift...co incidence may be – but with a perfume; whatsoever it was, he didn’t miss the hit.

I smiled at him and took the box in my hands, a maroonish violet velvety box that said Euphoria and Calvin Klein. The box opened up to a curvaceous bottle with front and back metal body and glassy sides with a long silver cap. I loved the looks...... It looked breathtakingly beautiful and different from all the other bottles I had seen. There was a small bottle of body lotion along with it.

So what about the fragrance??It was also something I had never experienced before. Being a lover of flowery perfumes; I had always opted for perfumes that echoes the tones of jasmine or lotuses. But this time it was different.... the smell was strong, but delicate too and there was this feeling that comes to your head, a kind of ecstasy that rises... and I liked it although I didn’t think it was one of a thousand perfume.

After marriage Euphoria became a habit for me, it became the regular perfume. Now here comes the story. It is true that I did not receive much compliments from the women, but whenever I passed a man, they would surely turn around with a “What was that?” look on the face. My husband testified that it was beautiful, many others whined just to know the name of the perfume so that they could get it for their girl friends or wives. Everyone who had considerable testosterone in their body adored the fragrance and was suckers for this vivacious smell.

What did they say?? Euphoria is all about a sensuous fragrance that excites the senses. It has this irresistible scent that adds sexiness and attractiveness and kinds of excites the senses and turn it on. It’s strong and invades the soul and mind with euphoria (literally) and no man can escape the sinful temptation by this perfume.

Now my verdict: After so many comments about how sexy the perfume was, and my husband simply loving it, Euphoria is now a strictly personal fragrance for nights out or dinners alone, or for those romantic getaways. Now the point is, this is a great perfume if you want to be appealing to the opposite sex. I mean; if you are in a relationship go for it, they cannot resist it. But if you are having a girl’s day out, I think you should stay with something like CK Truth because Women as far as I know (including me) wouldn’t think the perfume as mind blowing. For me it’s just a perfume with a chocolatey kind of fragrance intermittent with some other husky notes. But for my husband it’s some potion straight from heaven. So if you are planning to buy this, get your significant other to tag along, not necessary though. From all the compliments I have received I can guarantee you that this is a heart stealer. And somehow I fell in love with this perfume too that now I can’t live without the fragrance of CK following me around. The perfume on the day time, the first whiff starts as a chocolatey flowery smell that on long wear by night turns into something woody. But tell you though, that this is the most feminine and unique perfume you will ever find on the counter.

The bottle lasted almost a year for me. You just need to have two quick sprays and it would last for a day.You really doesn’t have to overdo it as this is a strong scent. Considering the fact that this is a night perfume, it lasts longer. I used a bottle for almost two years and unlike the other perfumes, CK doesn’t lose the strength of the fragrance with time. Its worth every penny you pay.If you want to know how much the perfume is in demand, I can tell you this... three years back when it was launched, the time I bought it, it was 200 dirhams for the perfume alone.... Now two weeks back I bought a bottle that cost me 200 dirhams. Its the one of the few perfumes that has not dropped the price or not been taken off the counters. There is one down side to this perfume. After falling in love with this perfume, I cannot seem to like any other perfume and the ones that I buy normally tend to have a similar chord somewhere. Its that addictive.

So it’s time girls, dim lights, a candle lit dinner by the lake.... Slip on your most wonderful cocktail dress and pearls... and don’t miss a few squirts of the magical potion at hand.... a few drops of Euphoria, and you would love the attention that you draw towards you, but when the other girls ask what your magic is, smile that wicked sexy grin and hushhhh!!!
