Hello Friends! Thanks for reading this review. Well I watched this movie ‘Calcutta Mail’ 3 days back and I was having lot of expectations from this movie, the reason was that I was watching movie of Anil Kapoor after a long time. But it turned out to be a normal movie and their was nothing very good that I could write about it. The story is about a person Anil Kapoor who reaches Calcutta for finding his son who had been kidnapped by some villains. Anil’s wife Manisha Koirala is a daughter of a very Big Politician (Satish Kaushik) who wants her to marry Sayaji Shinde, Mr. Shinde is a Politician backed Goonda, who works on the instruction of Satish Kaushik. But Manisha doesn’t want to marry him so she rans away from her home and meet Anil in the train. Anil saves her from the Goondas and both get married and have a Son. But story take a turn and Manisha is murdered and her son is kidnapped. Well I will not write full story but when Anil reaches Calcutta in search of his son he meets Rani Mukherji while living in a typical Chal. Sayaji Shinde is the main villain and a major let down from the movie.

Cast is- Anil Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Satish Kaushik, Sayaji Shinde and Rani Mukherji.

The story is good but lacks many things like what Anil used to do in his real life?

Ok leave it but the dialogues written by Saurabh Shukla ( MOTU) are a major let down, the way Gali’s are used now days I can say u surely that no person above the age of 40 years would like to see this movie. The trend of this kind of language started from ‘Satya’ but do u think we need to use a word like ‘ Phat Gayi Kya’ very often in our language. People love to see reality but some refinement should be used, What our youngsters will learn?

Secondly, but most importantly I felt very bad with the role of Sayaji Shinde, see he is a very capable actor and truly speaking on par with Nana Patekar but he is spoiling his career by doing all this kind of silly roles. He should do some useful roles and surely he is capable of doing that. See for an example of Paresh Rawal, he used to be a villain but he found that he can do good roles and what a great actor he had turned out to be.

Story of the movie is ok but it is too fast and language used is very bad, that is the main reason for the film getting flopped, you cannot get away with this kind of a stuff every day.

Thanks

Goli
