Being a resident of Goregaon East for three years, it was a surprise if I didn't visit cafe Kalpana at least once. It is a low-fi food joint on the Sawarkar Bridge continued as Goregaon Mulund Link Road.
Cafe offers non vegetarian foodstuffs as well, with the rare kheema delicacies. The egg biryani seems very unpleasent to eat at any food joint but one should give it at least a try. While most places like these survive on the quality of the tea, this place has filter coffee as their finest.
Ambiance and all are just not to be seen when reviewing places like this. Shop is just on the road, no Air Conditioners, flies buzzing all over. The tables are less than 7 as I remember. It is empty most of the times, so no reservation necessary. It is very economic and cheap if you consider the money.
