I was never a big fan of CCD, but I like its location and a few drinks that they serve. I wish to write about the CCD located in Amboli, near Bhardawadi. As I could not find it mentioned here, I am writing under the Lokhandwala branch. I distinctly remember the last time I went to this place, and believe me, it was really the last time I ever went there.
I went here with a close friend as this was his favorite CCD, due to the location and I went inside to place my order. I really must congratulate CCD on clinching such a good location that provides a good view of the vicinity. I ordered a Green Apple Soda, only to be told that it cannot be made because there was no soda! Right! A cafe that does not take the pains to order a soda, is already a place that I detest immensely!
I went ahead and ordered a Vanilla Frappe and a Caramel Frappe for the both of us.
That drink came with an ice-cream. While billing it, the Server did ask me if I wanted Chocolate Sauce and I said no. Unfortunately, when the drink arrived, by friend DID want the Chocolate Sauce after all:-|.
I went back to the one who took my order and asked him to pour it on top of the drink. Do you know what the person answered? He said, I am sorry, I cannot do that as the order has already been served and there are CCTV cameras here. HUH? What logic is this? I said I will pay extra for it, money is not an issue and he just refused to do it! What the hell?
How does it even make sense? Did I also mention? That they say that they accept cards, but while making the payment, they conveniently say, sorry our machine is not working!
There was a lady behind me who too was laughing over this logic of theirs and I gave up arguing with this nonsensical logic of theirs!
Also, this CCD does not have a washroom.(Where do the employees go)? So my friend went to the Subway next door and while coming got a coke for me. The Manager of CCD came storming out saying, hey outside drinks are not allowed, please leave right now! My friend was extremely mad at him, but I asked him to calm down and we left the place.
Never again am I ever going to this, or any CCD. Goodbye CCD!
