We contribute our own findings and design suitable channels of dissemination. CDAC (formerly NCST) conducts a number of professional education courses, mainly focused on continuing education.
Educational activities at CDAC (formerly NCST) fall into two categories: Continuing education for professionals and Courses, which provide comprehensive training in software technology. Diploma Courses in Software Technology CDAC (formerly NCST) offers three part-time courses and one full time course in this category: PGDST (Post-Graduate Diploma in Software Technology) The PGDST is a stand-alone foundation building course, covering foundations of programming, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer architecture, database management, computer networks, and object oriented programming. Admission to the course is open to any graduates, and is based on performance in the CST examination. Detailed Information About PGDST including course contents, admission requirements, and assessment are available here. Announcements regarding the Course and Results APGDST (Advanced Post-Graduate Diploma in Software Technology) The APGDST stream offer a collection of modules for specialisation in software technology. Participants joining the course are expected to complete five modules from the set, based on availability and their preferences, in order to meet the diploma requirements. The set of modules currently available include: Artificial Intelligence and Applications, Component Object Modelling, Expert Systems, Graphical User Interface Design Parallel Processing, Multimedia Technology, Natural Language Technology, Network Programming, Programming Paradigms Software Engineering, Computer Graphics, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Advances in Database Systems, Project Module FPGDST (Full Time Advanced Post-Graduate Diploma in Software Technology) The FPGDST course is offered only at CDAC (formerly NCST) Bangalore and CDAC (formerly NCST) Belapur. The curriculum proposed for this course has been specially designed to prepare software professionals who are well equipped to cope with the needs of the IT industry today. The duration of the course is 52 weeks full-time. PGDIT (Post-Graduate Diploma in Internet Technology) The PGDIT is presently offered only at CDAC (formerly NCST) Kharghar.
