The Bullet Electra combines the classic biking experience of Royal Enfield with more modern convenience.
It might be a little sleeker. Its battery may be easier to use. But know this, it is still a Bullet. Just take one for a little spin and the bass dubba dubba dubba of the bike is sure warm your heart.
Why did I get one? Because I have always wanted to own a brand new Bullet. A dream that I have nurtured throughout my life.
One and half years and close to 30,000 kms later, I am not disappointed.
Problems? Well there are a few. After all the king of bikes does demand respect and care.
It’s a pain (and to some like me a pleasure) to run in. It’s not a bike that you takeout of the showroom and speed off into the horizon.
Frequent trips to the workshop are a must. But in a little while you learn to fix most things by yourself.
So do I recommend it? Definitely. It’s a must for all those who are tired of 100 cc plastic things which generally go by the name of bikes today.
