At home, we are using a BSNL broadband connection since Nov 2005. Before that we had a dial up connection which was not trustworthy. So we decided that we should have a broadband connection.
Initially it was Rs.250/- per month and later converted to Rs.500/- per month connection in which the download was limited to 2GB or so ( I do not exactly remember the limit) with unlimited browsing from 2am to 8pm. Since the bill was going up I had converted the connection to an unlimited one with no down load limit which cost Rs 900/- per month. The additional charges were Rs.60 per month as rent for the modem.
I can very proudly say that the connection has remained flawless so far except for a couple of occasions it was disconnected due to the phone line fault. Generally, the speed is good and remained so throughout. Only on two to three occasions I had to call for the services of the service provider to settle the problems.
I find this connection so good that I do not want to change it to any other service provider. I also do not want to change the present plan as it is a good plan which now costs only Rs.750/- per month and modem rental. Although BSNL is in the public sector, I find the services offered by them as very good. On an average I find the usage is around 11-12 GB per month. This plan is a very good one and I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a broad band connection. So far I have not encountered any wrong billing or inflated billing.
