I've been using BSNL Broadband since the past 7 years. The plan I was using at first was BB Home ULD 750 for which they use to provide unlimited Broadband for a fixed monthly charge of Rs 750. Then suddenly without any notice they changed the plan to BB Home ULD 800. Now I have to pay Rs 800 per month.
Earlier, there was no FUP(Fair Usage Policy) and you could use unlimited amount of data at the same speed. But now if you cross 6 GB data they throttle the speed to 512 Kbps(kilo bits per second) from 1 Mbps(Mega bits per second).
BSNL recently announced that they were providing a minimum broadband speed of 2 Mbps from 1 October, 2015 onwards to its customers at no extra cost. But going by my own experience I must say that I have not noticed any difference in speed. It is always slow and sluggish. On an average, there is no Broadband connectivity for minimum 4-5 hours every day.
