This is my second review and its about my BSA Street rider (electric scooter). I bought it from Sankrithi BSA, Coimbatore for INR-32000.. This is a remake of the original BSA street rider... the new features added are telescopic forks(in front) and a cool digital speedometer with blue backlight.. the telescopic forks are very good in performance with a heavy person..
I am just 37 kgs and therefore the suspensions are not too gr8 for this weight but when goin doubles, the jerks are too less(allmost negligeble) even in speed breakers... the best part of this scooter is that it has no self starter or kick starter... u just turn the key and u go Vroooom!!!!.... wait.... wait.... did I say Vroom... I am sorry..... this scooter hardly makes any noise... even a cycle makes more noise than this vehicle....there is only a slight Vooosh sound wen u start accelerating from idle... but then, once u reach 10 km/h and above, again there no sounds...
the pros and cons-
pros first-
Noise less
No vibrations even duing acceleration or starting or at idle
cool speedo
soft accelerator
gr8 suspensions
no starting hassles(the best pro)
light weight(only 75 kgs)
No need of stopping for police checks
u can stick anything in the number plate since the vehicle has no registration(my no. plate has the pic of donald duck and micky mouse...He he...)
no license required
good range of 70 kms/charge
big under seat storage(and I mean its huge... the whole space below the seat can be utilised for storage since the battery is under the legs in the footboard)
gr8 colours available-black, grey, red and yellow(mine is red in colour)
gr8 tyres pre installed- Dunlop (and the tyres r of the size of honda activa's tyres)
no pollution
no lubrication needed since the vehicle has no moving parts
very good brakes(both the front and the rear has drum brakes)
no gears and clutches(hassle-free again)
really affordable price(cheaper than scooty, activa and access)
cons-
reduced top speed of just 25km/hr(but mine has been tuned to do 35km/hr)
its so quiet that many people dont know that a scooter is speeding by(should be cautious in this issue)
I have been using this scooter for nearly 3 months now(800 kms done and 2 services finished)
i am wholeheartedly satisfied with this scooter and I recommend it to all school going students and go greeners!!!
there is nothing wrong when ur saving planet earth!!!
