‘Bride and Prejudice’ aka ‘Balle Balle- Amritsar to L.A.’ is the ambitious movie by Gurinder Chaddha. This remake of Jane Austin’s legendary novel Pride and Prejudicestars Aishwarya Raiand Martin Hendersonas Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy.
Bride and Prejudice is a crossover movie, featuring love-story of an Indian girl and western guy, and hence this ‘East Meets West ‘ factor is the main influence in its music. So, we have songs with typical north Indian feel but sung by singers with a heavy western accent. So, we have a unique ‘Hinglish’ album.

Music director Anu Malik has given a great track called ‘Balle balleIyerhave lent their vocals. This is high-energy wedding song with good use of chorus. Malik and the singers have been able to retain the desi folk flavour of this song.
I am curious to see how it looks on the screen! (4/5)
All the four songs are about wedding, dance, and celebration and have a festive feel about them. They are very the picturizations. These songs will look great on screen.
‘No Life without wife’ is a highly situational comedy song. It’s unique and peppy. It is foot-tapping song but it gets monotonous. The sisters and their ideas of ‘Mr. Right’ in the song. Perhaps this song is important part of the movie, but from a listener’s point of view, this number will be stale soon. (3/5)
