Today, specially after lunch I am very happy …:-)
Well I do not remember that who had written once in his / her revu that … “ kam paise mein bohot kam badiya cheeze milti hai “ thanx to him/her.and yes today I experienced the same…!aahaa!
It is the buffet lunch of RAGA HOSPITALITY in food court at COSMOS MALL, WHITEFIELD, BANGALORE.
Previously known as SPOON, from Pantaloons. They have introduced this buffet newly so it is in a food court .
We entered the food court which was renovated specially for buffet, making space for the serve. We asked the attendee present there about the cost .He said 140/-.My expression was like:-O….bas itne mein itna sara khana?:-) So we proceeded further after paying at the main counter .
The first serving was of pani puri:-) that too as in buffet i.e. have how much you want.Really it was tasting very good. The guy serving us pani puri was wearing new n clean gloves, so it was hygienic too.
Then, we went for main course:
-> Salad: very simple salad like home …having properly cut carrot, onion, cucumber and all ther ingridients of salad which we usually have at home…prepared by mom .
->Raita: there was onion raita .perfect for the taste of north Indians .:-) the optional thing for south Indians was “curd rice “ which was garnished very nicely .
-> Plain rice: the palin rice was usual basmati rice with which everyone is usually happy?
-> Mixed vegetable: you would not imagine it was purely mixed vegetable? with less spice and masala
-> Vegetable biryani: you could actually find many vegetable in this biryani and the exact combination of spice n masala. Most important was the “less oil content “.
-> Aloo mutter: with other itesm I was so full that I could not atste it …but ya I have enquired from my friend that it was tasting really nice .
-> Rajma: all I have to say here is it was total north Indian rajna…which I loved very much .
-> Set dosa / naan / butter roti: these people really made sure that everyone can not have roti or naan so they made sure with set dosa…which is uasually nice .
-> Chicken do payaaza: It had real good pieces of chicken with a proper home made gravy.hmmm…?
-> Rice ki kheer: it was like a cherry topping to the entire feast? ohhh …I remember my grand ma .
So this much was really enough for my stomach to be full and satisfying my mind .
Afterwards, we met the manager who was also the manager of SPOON( mentioned earlier) his name is Mr. Rajeevan. He came n proactively spoke to us as we wre the first customers today:-)
He shared with us that they are going to introduce new recipes in the menu . Another good thing is they are introducing regional food:-) so the manager asked for our suggestions and while talking only he came up with the suggestion book;-)
They can mail you also the daily menu and the changes which are going to be there .
At last, I just want to mention here is, the food is unlike all other restaurant food…with less spice. And I am sure our parents will really enjoy this kind of food .
So, people in bangalore who love to try out places for food, you can go ahead and visit once .
Really khane se insaan kitna khush ho jata hai:-)
