Our family worked with the Bangalore BMB team for over a month and we are very disappointed with their poor service, process, and handling of clients.
1.A profile search shows up a whole list of maids. However, on shortlisting most are not available. Plus the salary expectations of the maids on the website keep getting updated. It starts with 15k, on the next visit it jumps up to 18k and even 20k. When asked why the salary keeps changing, the team says based on experience it increases. Wasn't this known when the profile was created?
2.When shortlisted maids are sent to the team talking to us, they say this is the'Covid season', hence only a call can be arranged and we have to select the maid based on just a phone call. She will come and join us immediately but there is no chance of meeting the potential candidate in person. The candidate will come and live with our family, we have never met them, seen them before, they have never worked for the agency, no reference or background check and such a person will come home and start living with our aged parents?
3.If we insist that we would like to meet the candidate, suddenly there is no confirmation from the coordinator. After repeated calls and checking on WhatsApp, we are told that the candidate has been confirmed to someone else and hence no more available. So candidates we want to pursue are confirmed by others within 30 mins to an hour of us checking. but for over a month, they are unable to find us a suitable candidate?
4.Candidates are in different cities and if we ask for a video call with the candidate, suddenly the candidate is no more available. The coordinator says someone else selected the person on an audio call, didn't insist on a video call, and has been hired'.
5.The coordinator claims that a background check and police verification of the candidates is done before they are appointed. What is the background check: Just collection of id proof and address proof. That is no background check. what about checking on their previous experience, talking to previous employers, other agencies they may have worked for?
What is police verification at BMB? Just making the candidate fill a form and handing over that form to us. If we are interested, we can take that form to the local police station and get it filed. This is police verification?
This is very poor service and poor processes at Book my Bai.
