I stayed at this hotel last week and I am sorry to say that we had some very bad experiences here.
We had booked this hotel after visiting the website which looks very impressive. The rooms cost about 2500 for a couple for a day including food (which is quite expensive) since it was during Diwali and they said that it was high season.
However, when we reached there, we found that the hotel was totally deserted with just one other family there. Also, most of the facilities (like steam, sauna, the sunken bar, disco etc.) were not working. We told them that we were interested in the health club but they said they were not operating them. They seemed totally unconcerned that they were not giving what the customer has paid for !!! The advertisement on the web was totally misleading.
We were planning to stay there for 3 days, but we checked out the next day itself! They did not even have any ice in the hotel (my husband, his brother and father wanted to have some drinks).
Another thing which was irritating was that they have very fixed and short lunch and dinner timings (just 8:30 to 10) etc. and they really start closing the buffet 15 mins. before 10, so you are always under tension about reaching on time for food.
Well, that is that! I had to vent my frustration about these things. However, one thing is that the rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel location is also quite good (close to market with a nice view). However, there is nothing much in Panchgani market and in Panchgani itself to see (except for Sherbaug) and so we shifted to Vimal Garden hotel in Mahabaleshwar which we enjoyed much more, at a much lower price. They have excellent food.
The food at Blue Country Resort was o.k., nothing great.
All said and done, it is a thumbs down from me for this hotel. The staff is totally dont carish when it comes to the needs of the customer. This is my family's experience. You can try Hotel Vimal Garden or Hotel Brightland at Mahabaleshwar. We had good experiences at both of them (and great food).
