Hyderabad also known as Nampally with the old-world charm, the city's tehzeeb and it's famous Hyderabadi Biryani!
The Nawabi culture still exists, in some parts of Hyderabad.
Let's get into the bylanes of Nampally, where we have the famous Al-hamduillah Restaurant. This restaurant specialises in Hyderabad Biryani. You find people from all religions visiting this place, for it's exotic flavour. This is a small restaurant, quite an old place, not flashy, simple to the point of being considered unworthy of entering, but the food is mind-blowing!
Open till 4:00 AM, this place seems to be crowded always. This is the place to go if you want to taste authentic Hyderabad Biryani. The quantity and quality of the meal is worth the money paid.
The aroma and taste of this distinct feature of the 400-year-old city, as old as Hyderabad itself, that first emanated from the Nizam's kitchen along with `mirchi ka salan' and accompanying delicacies remains the same, good old and lip-smacking.
You really wouldn't go there for the ambiance, it's always crowded & noisy. Go at 2:00 am, and it seems as if it's just 7:00 pm.
Their service is quick and the waiters themselves collect the bill. Sometimes due to local police, it seems to be closed. Just ask for the shaadi khaana, you don't miss your biryani.Enzoy!
