I agree Pritam is a step ahead Anu Malik in getting inspired from various music but then we just cannot deny the fact that he has made it a habit of giving back to back hits and probably that is what is really important.
So here is one more chart buster album “BILLU BARBER” and I think it is going to be the biggest hits amongst Pritam’s collections.
Don’t search for musical intelligence in here. The album is made for “feel good” type listening.
The two songs flying high in the air right now are “MARJAANI” & “LOVE MERA HIT HIT” and the response probably speaks everything.
Let me take your attention towards the song which is going to be the biggest of all, as Ifeel. Once it was “chalat musaafir moh liya rey” from SHREE 420 and I bet it will be “BILLO BHAYANKAR” now. Sung by Raghuveer Yadav and Kalpana, be ready to feel the “nautanki” aura. Gulzar again pens down something which can be expected only from him.
Neeraj Shridhar sings “YOU GET ME ROCKING AND REELING” with the same romantic urge as he did before in some of his albums.
The only song which really disappoints is “AE AA O” sung by K.K. It’s like a noise and makes you escape it. For sure doesn’t suit the collection.
The album has fifteen songs with around 7 remixes which are worth listening too.
On the whole, the most rocking album in the past six months.
If “SINGH IS KING” can play for a year, “BILLU BARBER” is not going to disappear for next ten years.
