A better basket this time. Review on Bigbasket

Order # BBVO-520908-291013. I placed my 2nd grocery order with Big Basket on October 29th and cannot

complain at all.

My order was scheduled to be delivered on October 30th in the 7am-9: 30am time slot, and a lady called early in the morning to tell me it might arrive at 11am, but there was no delay.  It arrived sometime between 9: 20-9: 30am, within the properly scheduled time slot, so they get a: -) for being on time after all.

: -) Ordered amla again, this time they're all decent sized keepers, none had to be tossed.

: -) Ordered English cucumber instead of the weird hybrids and these are quite tasty, no bitterness.

: -) Ordered Nagpur oranges and they do indeed arrive green, but no issues. I let them ripen and they were good.

: -) Also got sweet potato, leeks( >: -[ boycotting onion right now), pumpkin, coconut, etc. and everything was in good shape with good flavor.

: -) Glad they're selling red rice under the BB brand, this stuff is increasingly hard to find and other online vendors only sell "haute couture" brands of it with MRP that is 2, 3 or 4 times the market price.: -) Packaged items were not dusty.

: -) Took my chances with bread( Daily Bread whole wheat) as well and it arrived in very good condition- not moldy, not smashed.

: -) Awesome chicken!  The first time I had ordered online I was hesitant to order non-veg items, I wanted to see if the produce and perishable dairy would be good before taking chances with meat.  This time I ordered fresh chicken and was very, very impressed.  No stink at all!  I never buy chicken from the supermarket or kirana freezers because it always smells dubious( rotten in the case of Nilgiri's on Wellington St.) and unsafe, so to get fresh, good, boneless, skinless chicken delivered to my door was the highlight of my Diwali.

I  must brag on the chicken( and hope BB keeps up the good work): It was not one of those genetic freak birds like what's sold by U.S. grocers, it was a normal sized bird, and the fat content was perfect-enough to make a good gravy but not excessive.  Also there was not a drop of blood to be found anywhere, meaning the butcher did his job well.

Big Basket, please, please, please continue the good work!  Your  good products/service have saved us from uncivilized kirana wallas and pedestrian murdering road hogs, and for that we thank you!

Too often managers get complacent or arrogant when the big bucks start rolling in and start to lower their standards, this is especially true in India.

Please don't let that happen to BB!
