E-Commerce was a dream a decade ago. Net banking was a risk 5 years ago. Now with general awareness we are no longer scared to shop online. In case we decide to use a new website we go through reviews online. I always prefer being safe when it comes to shopping online. I used most of the popular portals and I never ever imagined I'll shop for grocery online.

Big Basket made that possible. I often hunt for good deals, when I came across a big basket deal which said "200 off on your first purchase of grocery above?1000" I gave big basket a try. Yes. it worked!

Now I am able to save my shopping time and fuel as well! They deliver goods right at your doorstep. After placing more than ten orders, I have decided to pen the review. I am a satisfied consumer. I live in Hyderabad and their service here is fantabulous!

The Products - The delivery crew gets goods in plastic baskets. The goods are always in good shape. It is similar to you going to a market with a basket and getting the same home! The vegetable and fruits are packed in nets. I never ever faced a problem with quality, if in case there is one you are free to return and get the refund right then.

The website - it's a user friendly website with goods divided in various categories like Fruits and Vegetables, household, personal care, meat etc.,

Payment- cash on delivery is available, however I paid using net banking and saved more by selecting payumoney option. If you do not know what that option is, you need to visit https://payumoney.com which will enable you to save 5% or more on a few websites.

Discounts and offers - when you compares big basket offers to discounts at a super market, you will be disappointed. Nonetheless, there are promotional offers where in you will be lucky to get a product or two for free. You will get to know this while making payment. Also, at times it gives a discount of 5 to 6% on orders above 2000.

Cancellation of Orders - No hassle. You can cancel the order even on the day of delivery but it should be before 6:00 Am.

Customer Service - I did not have a pleasant experience with their tele calling service however they are quite prompt in responding to mails, even when it is pertaining to cancellation of orders.

My tele calling experience - bigbasket is promoted on all the social networking forums and there are various coupons offered to the users. I once missed out on a code and called their customer care. Unfortunately the gentleman wasn't aware of such promotions. This came as a disappointment.

Mailing experience - Mails about anything right from cancelling of order to preference of flavours, timings are all well considered. You won't be disappointed.

Goods Delivery - There is time and date slot available and you can choose accordingly. Incase you chose the wrong slot, you can write a mail and change the same. The goods are always delivered on time. Incase you change your mind and do not wish to buy a product they will be happy to take it back.

They are also keen on improving as they call to take feedback. If you aren't looking for major discounts then Bigbasket is the best and first of its kind service you can avail.
