This is to share my horrendous experience with from M/s Bhandari motors.
After years of hard work, I was barely able to collect enough money to buy my own car, I decided to go in for a WagonR Lxi. I got a loan arranged from icici bank for Rs 200000/- and paid the remaining amount up front at the time of delivery.
Maruti had an offer on going offering Rs. 5000/- worth of accessories with every car, when my turn came and I asked for the options for the same, I was informed by the salesman that I could choose between only following two options that they had to offer:
I could take a central locking system, which I incidentally knew was worth around Rs 3000/- in the market.
Or I could take a combo of horrible looking seat covers with a gear lock (again the combined price of the offer was not worth more than Rs 3000/-)
Luckily, I had inquired with another Maruti dealership a day before and knew that I was being taken for a ride. I confronted the salesman and within moments he blurted out that all they would offer was accessories worth 3000/- and no more. I told him that this wrong and I would complain to the company to which he said that he had been ordered to do so and could not help me. I cursed my luck and settled for the substandard central locking system in the end. Little did I know that my troubles had only started.
Couple of weeks later, I visited the dealer again to collect the RC for my car. I was politely told that the company was still to settle the accounts with the DSA from whom I had taken finance and till the time their issues were settled I would not be handed over the RC to my car. All my protests were turned down and I was told that I better pressurize the DSA to settle his issues with the dealer if I wanted my RC back. This was clear blackmail!!!
It’s been two weeks since and I am still driving my car without the RC. I have also written to the company (Maruti) in this regard and am waiting for their response but if you would like to learn from my experience pls. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER. I have had the worst time of my life since I bought my car from them and have found them to be utterly non co-operating and unpleasant people to deal with.
