Before revealing the surprise, some facts about BEWAFAA:
Music Directors: Nadeem-Shravan
Director: Dharmesh Darshan
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Manoj Bajpai and Shamita Shetty (both went way way way over the top in the film)
Ok, now the surprise.. The surprise package in BEWAFAA is that Nadeem-Shravan have used different singers for different songs (except Shaan who sings a small version: Pyaar Ki Raahein and a duet with Asha Bhosle)... This is a rarity for NS who hardly go beyond 4-5 singers for their albums....
NS have ALWAYS delivered for Dharmesh Darshan (Raja Hindustani, Dhadkan, Haan...Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya). So, does BEWAFAA become an aberration??? NO folks. Not at all... It matches upto the previous albums easily...
Lets see how....
- Ek Dilruba Hai
Udit Narayan.
Udit Narayan starts the proceedings brilliantly. The drums at the beginning are great to hear. Sameer's lyrics are laced with sweetness.... This song describes a man's love for his sweetheart. Wonderful beginning..

- Pyaar Ka Anjaam
Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, Sapna Mukherjee
This song is wonderful. Alka is as usual great in a NS song. Sanu too is not far behind. The surprise element is Sapna M. She matches upto both the singers which is no mean achievement. The whistle at the end of the song is like an icing on the cake. This song talks about the carefree attitude of the gal (Kareena whose voice is given by Alka) which goes like ''Who has thought about the consequences of love?? We are going to continue loving each other.''. NS' music is outstanding.

- Kaise Piya Se
Lata Mangeshkar
Yup. Dont rub your eyes in disbelief. Lata has sung for NS. I was eagerly waiting for
this moment. This song tells about the gal waiting for her lover to come so that she can express her love to him...Lata's voice suits Kareena's perfectly. No break in her voice (as was apparent in Veer-Zaara). NS have made sure that Lata gets one of her best solo songs in recent times. Way to go!!!

- Ishq Chupta Nahi
Abhijeet
I cant get enough of this song. This is sung so wonderfully by Abhijeet who exercises great control over his vocals. The pitch in his voice has to be heard to be believed. NS' music is so melodious that one is reminded of their first blockbuster:Aashiqui. This is undoubtedly the best song in the album. Sameer's lyrics deserve special mention... Way to go:NS, Abhijeet, Sameer...

- Drum Beats
This one is a short instrumental which leaves a mark nevertheless becoz of the drum beats!!!!

- Kehta Hai Kabutar
Shaan, Asha Bhosle
What to say of this one???? I didnt like it one bit when I first heard it. Sameer's lyrics go for a complete toss. But funnily, this song grew slowly on me maybe due to the fact that Asha and Shaan get into the skin of the song and the music too is decent...
Rating:6.5/10.
- Pyaar Ki Raahein
Shaan
Lucky Shaan is the only one who gets a second chance in this wonderful album. This is a brief, refined version of ''Ek Dilruba Hai'' which is as good...

- Yaad Yaad
Ghulam Ali
Frankly, I hate ghazals. I was disappointed when I read in a newspaper report that Ghulam Ali has come to India to render a song for BEWAFAA.. But, when I first heard this song, I said WOW. This song is 8 minutes of sheer bliss. Wonderfully rendered by Ghulam and the music by NS is heavenly.

- Kaise Piya Se
This one is an instrumental except towards the end when the chorus sing.. Wonderful again and one cant complain at all.

10. Woh BEWAFAA hai, Tu BEWAFAA hai, Haan BEWAFAA hai, Ek BEWAFAA hai
Sonu Nigam
''Ishq Chupta Nahin'' may be the best song in the album but this outstanding song is my favourite. Everything in this song is so perfect. The music is not a typical NS one. It has much more modern beats. The orchestration is amazing to say the least. Sonu's vocals match the mood of Akki who has just lost his love. Well done, Sonu. The pain is evident in Sonu's voice. Akki's emotions too are so amazingly restrained. One can easily sympathise with him. Just see him when Anil leaves the hall taking Kareena with him. I love this song. This is the SONG OF THE YEAR for me.
Rating:20/10..Lol.. 10/10
BEWAFAA is a unique album by NS as already said earlier. It is also unique due to the facts that Lata has sung for NS after an agonisingly long time period and that a majority of songs are solo (6 out of 10 and 2 are instrumental!!!!) but none of the solo songs feature the two outstanding singers: Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik (NS' favourite singers). But the album is clearly not hampered by their absence. So, hats off to Nadeem-Shravan!!!!
Hopefully, NS will continue giving more blockbusters and they will not split... NS are one and will remain so for their fans...
Comments AND ratings are eagerly awaited...
