The real best of Adams

I don’t have words to describe this album (it’s really a best of his best) by the Canadian rocker Bryan Adams.

Adams has dominated the music scenario since over a two decades now. Having started his career with songwriter Jim Vallance, Adams cut loose with the hit single “Cuts” in 1983, after which there has been no turning back.

Every year since then Adams produces an awesome album or a single soundtrack for a motion picture (Robin Hood, Prince of thieves).

Yet again, he has come out with a blast with Best of Me, a compilation of 14 of his smash hits, along with a new addition titled “best of me”.

All the tracks, to say the least, awesome. Touching lyrics and a great quality attached to all the numbers makes it instantly likeable. The best part of it, though, is the fact that no matter how many times you’ve heard it, you still find yourself hitting the repeat button for another hearing and the fact that I am a self-confessed Bryan Adams fan has nothing to do with this assessment.

There’s “can’t stop this thing”, recorded in 1991 single from the album “waking up the neighbors” it gets you stomping your feet as soon as it gets to your ears.

The next song, I should regard this one as an Anthem for every 16-year-old. You guessed it right Summer of ’69.every party in the world is incomplete without this one…no matter how many time we’ve heard it it’s as fresh as it ever was….

Then there is “I am ready” live recording from MTV’s unplugged.

“Everything I do”, the record-breaking track from the motion picture Broken Arrow. I bet every youngster has heard it in his time of…(I hope you know what I mean).

Then there is Have you ever really loved a woman…this is one of my personal favorites.

''Cloud Number nine'' as well as ''Inside & Inside Out'' have been taken from the album ''On A Day like today''. Both are brilliantly shot videos adding to their merits.

“Let’s make a night” pretty seducing track with odd lyrics and this one is taken from the 1996 album “18 till I die”.

“Back to you” is a racy number but takes time to get to you.

''Run to You'', from the sellout album ''Reckless'', has you running to the dance floor. Snazzy guitar-work is an Adams' trademark, and Adams in this number gives his fans the works.

“Please forgive me” is a slow ballad number. It is taken from the 1993 album “So far so good”

If you haven’t yet bought the album just GO FOR IT!!

And for those who already have it I’m sure it’s pretty spoilt by now due to the repeated hearings.
