Good food, Not so good service. Review on Berco's, Connaught Place, New Delhi

I visited Berco's - The kamala nagar branch about a month back.

One thing that instantly goes in Berco's favor is the appetising aroma that wafts through the entire place.Very few chinese outlets can boast of an unstale air. Despite being crowded, the ambience is welcoming with soft music in the background.

The menu is well structured, and easy to comprehend with visual images of the same.

However, I always think that the restaraunt staff knows best. So I asked the guy who waited on us, to recommend something for our veggie friend. I specifically asked him to recommend something spicy. He was clueless. In the end we ordered some brocolli, spinach and babycorn grub for her.. which turned out to be ok.

But I must admit, that the dimsums and chicken schezwan were done to perfection.

Then came in another disappointment, I asked the waiter for chopsticks. Plastic chopsticks were brought after delay enough for me to start using the fork. When they arrived, they were a little greasy.. something that went completely against the warm plates they had served and my standards.. On complaining the replacement was brought but i dont really think a good chinese restauraunt should keep anything less that wooden chopsticks, let alone greasy cheap plastic ones.

But overall it was quite enjoyable.

The soup was good. The food was enjoyable. The pricing quite comfortable. The ambience welcoming. The staff and decor needs a little sprucing up.

All in all recommendable if u are a foodie like me. :D
