This post is to bring an attention and awareness to all the pregnant patients and their family members who visits Belle Vue’s Cambridge Hospital. I am sharing my own experience which I had faced In Cambridge Hospital. Hence kindly read carefully.
- First and foremost, let me tell you about the hospital Environment, Facilities and Services at Cambridge hospital. Out side the hospital you can see very bright colorful boards as Cambridge Hospital FERTILITY & IVF CENTRE . Inside the Hospital a large flex is attached to the wall stating Dr.Punitha Rangaraj a famous doctor with her picture and her achievements achieved by her .
a. But in real, hospital maintenance is very poor , Unhygienic , No Elevator facilities in the hospital which has 3 floors , Pregnant ladies are made to sit in a wheel chair or stretchers and dragged to the 1st / 2nd floors with the help of 2 ward boys and even those ward boys expect for the tips to pay them . Rest rooms are in worst condition where diseases can easily spread. Female patients are hesitating to go inside the restrooms. There is no cleanliness or hygiene is maintained , Drinking water facility – There is one old water filter which is kept in the common area which is always left dried and it is filled only on request by the patients .
Either a patient gets admitted or discharges there is no elevator to shift the patient to the ground floor your compulsorily made literally dragged with a wheel chair or stretcher.
b. Main point to be highlighted in this hospital is during your admission at this hospital they charge you on the basis of 12 hours and not 24hours i.e ( per day charges will be levied for 12 hours and next 12 hours will be calculated has 2nd day ) Wards are split into 2 categories one is special another one is semi-special . Semi special is a 4-bed sharing ward with 1 attached toilet which will be in pathetic condition. Semi special wards are charged 1500/- Rs for 12hours. (Dear Patients – Please believe it or not both special ward and semi-special wards are in worst conditions that the wards are filled with bedbugs and cockroaches) . I saw a patient relative who was admitted in special ward was fighting and screaming at top of his voice complaining that there are bedbugs found every where and small cockroaches enters into juice or food which patients keeps in their rack . Even though male relatives are not allowed to stay during night with the patients I had requested to stay 1 night with my wife in the hospital since no body else was there to take care of my wife. The moment I slept on the bed there were large size bedbugs which started biting me it was really a nightmare for me to spend one night in that hospital.
c. Most of the Nurses are not even trained properly they don’t even know how to put IV injection to the patients they pricked my wife’s hand 2-3 times in same place when I asked them they are telling that they did not get the vein in her hand .
d. Now coming to the main point and my worst experience which I had faced by the great Doctor Shwetha at Cambridge Hospital.
- Dear Friends like all others even I was very happy when I heard the news that my wife is pregnant, and this would be our first child.
At the very first visit at Cambridge hospital I had taken my wife to Doctor Shwetha who had confirmed that she is pregnant and advised us to visit regularly and suggested us few medicines.
And during our 2nd visit she examined my wife and told baby seems to be very tiny and could not be seen properly so she suggested some more vitamin tablets additional to the previous medicines which she had given. Like wise we continued to visit Dr.Shwetha regularly with full hope.
To be frank Dr.Shwetha was not getting much patients because all other patients used to go to Dr.Punita Rangaraj and only very few out of 100% only 5% of the patients used to consult Dr.Shwetha and that was the main reason whenever I went to the hospital I did not wait for hours together as Dr.Shwetha was always free and available to check the patients .
On the 3rd month , My wife found that she was bleeding very lightly and immediately I took her to the hospital and Dr.Shwetha advised me to admit my wife without delay and if we delay this might lead to abort the fetus , And even I had admitted my wife immediately . And for 3 days they had charged around 30k , Actually if you go with any minor complaints to Dr.Shwetha immediately she will advise you to admit even if there is no requirement for the admission, It is just because to loot your money . But if you see the actual treatment in the hospital they only give you the drips and apart from that they tell you to take the regular medicines which she had advised to take daily . And no other treatment given in the hospital just to fill the empty beds and make money they will admit you.
Dr.Shwetha always suggests particular tablets and those are ( Naturogest 200 mg , Ecosprin , All-9 , Coralium ) .
Like wise we did not miss out regular monthly checkups and whenever we go to the hospital she will threaten us by telling one or the other problem of baby. And on 5th month she told that baby looks weak and she suggested few medicines and also told that we need to do some test i.e ( Water inside the amniotic sac to be tested) which will cost approximately 30-40 k and she told it is an optional not mandatory , But there was guy who used sits in a scanning room who does the Anomoly scan he was forcing us that we need to do the test compulsory only then they will be able to identify if the baby has any problem , However I had refused that Dr.Shwetha told me it is an optional and I was not ready to do that .
On the 7th month I had brought my wife for regular checkup to Dr.Shwetha and before coming to hospital my wife was doing very good without any complaints . Dr.Shwetha examined my wife and pretended to be very tensed and serious and told me that the condition is very bad and baby has come to the very low level and if this continues any time she might deliver a premature baby .. I was so scared to the extreme level and she advised me that my wife has to undergo a cervical stich which will help to protect the baby from coming downwards. I was completely blank and did not know what to do and only hope was god. I agreed with Dr.Shwetha to start the procedure of cervical stich and informed my parents about it . Later after an hour they shifted my wife to the ward and after undergoing the surgery my wife was restless and started complaining of pain and within an hour after the surgery water started leaking , ( Before coming to hospital my was fine without any complaints ) but once after she undergone the surgery all issues had started and water leakage has become more , when I informed the hospital staff members they never seemed to be bothered and after repeatedly informing them they had called Dr.Shwetha and asked . Shwetha had informed them to lift the cot and keep 2 stones to increase the height of the bed ( Just because the cot was not hydraulic ) which did not workout . later Dr.Shwetha had come and visited my wife and called me personally and told that water leakage is more and she will deliver a premature baby anytime .. I was really shocked to hear it. Doctor Shwetha told me very confidently that my wife might deliver either on the same day or in another 1 day. And she was very sure about that. And also she told me that I have to keep my baby in NICU ward.
But luckily god had hinted me not to continue with this hospital. I told her that I am going to shift my wife to some other hospital and she agreed with it and gave us all the documents of my wife and just for 1 and half day they had charged me around 40k .
Dear friends just to loot our money these people have done so much, purposely they have done the cervical stitch surgery just for the sake of money and caused water leakage from amniotic sac. Dr.Shwetha was very strong that my wife will deliver the baby in a day 1 or 2 .
But later I had shifted my wife to some other Hospital and doctors there examined my wife and shouted at me asking which doctor has done the cervical stitch and there was no need for cervical stitch and only then I understood doctors at Cambridge Hospital are too greedy for Money . So immediately doctors had removed the cervical stitch and observed for 1-day and water leakage had completely stopped which was really a miracle for my family.
Earlier Dr.Shwetha in Cambridge hospital told that my wife will deliver a premature baby in 1 or 2 days , But by Gods grace my wife had completed 10 months and 6 days and finally delivered a healthy baby girl and we did not have to keep our baby in NICU ward .
Dear friends this is to inform you all especially Pregnant ladies who visit to Cambridge hospital should be aware about that hospital. Initially they will be very good to you later once you start going for a regular check-up, they will brain wash you telling all nonsense about your health condition and your babies growth. They will literally make you depressed and loot all your money and they will spoil your health. Hence kindly be aware and if you really care about your baby and your health please do not go to Cambridge Hospital.
They are blood suckers they will loot all your money. Doctors like Shwetha are not fit to be a doctor. They play with humans’ life just for the sake of Money. And only if they personally undergo such situation, they understand what life is.
