After our long 1 day journey from Pune, we struggled so much and were totally exhausted to find this resort. We went all directions as address was improper with no map. In the name of a luxurious stay, an 8* 8 feet storeroom was given to us, which was really suffocating with no ventilation and was dark as there was no tube light in it. The room and the bathroom were dirty and despite telling three times, they were not cleaned. The room service phone was just a toy as it was not working.
To order tea / food etc. we had to search the entire Bella vista Dharamsaala for the attendant cum receptionist cum manager cum waiter(yes there is only one employee!). The only employee is a big cheat who charges 1800/- for local sight seeing when the actual rate is 1000/- . Food was really pathetic. If you want to eat egg masala with raw onions and carrots floating on top of it, this is the right place. Don’t even think about going to any other restaurant as the nearest one is 2 kms away with zero transportation available and no street lights on roads.
In our package breakfast was included but was not served in spite of us requesting many times. This Remote Dharamsaala is alteast 15 kms away from main Munnar town. Personal vehicle is must when staying in this pathetic resort(?) as there is no other means of transport available. Of course the only employee of Bella vista can arrange an auto rickshaw for whooping Rs160/- that too going to Munnar town!.
Resort only looks good from outside but if one considers looking at rooms, hotel service, location, food and convenience, it is way beyond the word pathetic** and these factors are more important than hotel outlook for travelling tourist. In short Bella vista people made our Munnar stay damn horrible. Well finally I can say is, go there at your own risk!
