I have approached this Fabloon boutique tailoring shop for my daughter's school uniform stitching. Kaja lady who was sitting there told me per uniform she will charge Rs 2, 200. So 3 sets it will be Rs 6, 600. I wondered in all places every other tailors while charging Rs 500- 600 per uniform, how come you charge in a very high rate. She said it was boutique-style tailoring.
So I decided to leave the place with a smile and approached in Kelambakkam everywhere and all the tailor shops were busy with uniforms stitching and they did not take my daughter's uniform order. So I came back to Fabloon, Padur shop.
This time I saw the shop manager. She took the measurements. While taking it, I have told her that please make sure the new one should be comfortable to wear. I even thought since they are charging a high price, and they must be mastered.
This time this manager and Kaja lady were conversating that whether the school uniform for girl was Rs. 1800 or Rs. 2200. Manager lady was saying it was Rs. 1800. But Kaja lady was saying it was Rs. 2200. Finally the manager was fixed what the Kaja lady said. Now manager asked me to pay 50% which I had paid Rs. 3300.
The 4th day she called me and said the first set was ready and please come and wear and give corrections. So I went along with my daughter and when wore it, it was full tight on sleeves, shoulder and the body. It gave me a big disappointment and sadly I decided to give corrections and wait for the final out.
Today I went and collected the other 2 sets of uniforms and told them my disappointment with the first set of stitching. I had told them even if it is not fit, I will not come and give you for any corrections again and I said that I will buy new set of uniforms and will find a nice tailor NOT like yours.
When I came home, I asked my daughter to wear and check. It was the same status as they had not done any corrections given. It all the same tight stitching. I gave my daughter's last year's uniform but still the new uniform is tighter than that one. My daughter is 14 years old and they stitched for 11 years old.
All they acting and all they need money. That's it. I definitely NOT RECOMMEND.
Even the platform tailors will stitch nicely for Rs.400-500 for one set school uniform. But this so called Boutique style tailoring are just for showcase goods. Either the tailor is not good or the lady who took the measurement was not skilled. I now order for a new clothes set and will have to find a good tailor shop definitely not Boutique style tailors who charge elephant rate and the unfit stitching.
