The Barista is to Coffee as the Enologist is to Wine. Barista, an Italian term originally meaning ''a person inside a bar'' refers to a coffee bartender who combines skill, knowledge and sheer artistry to prepare the perfect shot of espresso.
Made from a special blend of Arabica coffee finely ground, firmly packed then extracted under pressure, espresso is a brew with a rich concentration of coffee taste and aroma, topped with a dense golden brown foam, or ''crema.'' It is also a powerful component providing the kick behind a wide range of popular beverages such as caffe latte, cappuccino and caffe mocha.
Barista Coffee Bar, in New Delhi, in Connaught Place, to where I frequent, is located at a very happening place. I have tasted almost all of the blends that it offers, and not a single one has betrayed my blind faith on this bar. Interesting enough, the moment I use this term Barista Coffee Bar, I remember my second outing there. I ordered ''Espresso Machchiato'', the most strong black coffee rich blend they offer. While the order was being catered to, we started playing Scrabble there. I had the coffee in our first round of the Scrabble, and by the time our round was through, well my head was eating circles!!! It was that strong. I added onto that one cup full of Caffe Latte and by the time I reached home, I was down but not out. For one full day, I had the hangover of a COFFEE!!! I was mocked around that I had an hangover of a coffee, but I like the beautiful sensation that I experienced, thanks to Barista Coffee Bar!!!
Needless to mention the awe-inspiring decor, the ambience and the QoS!!!
Worth a dekko guys...
