I had never really been to any other coffee shop till the day I dropped in at Barista's. Now I am hooked. When I first entered Barista at linking road bandra (w) the first thing that struck me was the decor and the food display. As I was feeling famished I first diverted my attention to the food. We were a party of three and we ordered a muffin, a piece of apple pie, some chicken sandwich and a herbed chicken sandwich for myself. The beverage of choice was Brrrista their cold coffee. Once we placed our order, I then studied the decor.
The various coffee cups or is it mugs, that were displayed and some excellently worded posters. The color of the walls was orange just like their logo and the entire atmosphere was full of youth. Youthness in the air was also aided by the fact that most of us patrons were young. Some just younger than others. The crowd there complemented the image of the place. A young and happening crowd does wonders for the image of any place.
Then there is one Barista on the outfringes of MIDC area opposite holy family school andheri east, which is located inside tecnopolis an office complex. The place has a similar decor and feel, but is definitely smaller which is understandable since it caters to a limited crowd.
Even the variety of food on offer was limited, which could also be due to the reason that we went there around three pm on a working day. Anyways we ended up ordering almost the same items in food and were wondering aloud what to drink. That is when 'Harshal' the very helpful staff member suggested a hot coffee with whipped cream and orange flavour. It was an excellent coffee and an end to another excellent meal at the coffee shop par excellence.
I try to eat at Barista's as often as possible and hence recommend this place to my friends too.
