This girl from Barclays Bank calls me up and asks me very brusquely'Personal Loan ki requirement hai'. This was on a Sunday at 3.00 pm. The only day in a week which was a holiday and I was fast asleep. I say'Nahi, thank you' to which she says'Koi reference dena chahenge'. I say'no' to which she says'koi colleague or friend to hoga jinko loan ki requirement hogi?'
I asked is this the time to call up somebody asking for Personal Loan requirement(in perfectly acceptable/parliamentary language, albeit a little bit exasperatedly). She has the gall to ask me'aap itne rudely kyon bol rahe hai. Call hi to kiya hai'. She cuts off the phone with a rejoinder'badtameez kahi ka'.
I sometimes wonder whether my friends who talk rudely/offensively to telecallers are right or people like me who always say'No please, thank you' to these untimely callers.
