With this service and reputation, they simply CANNOT gain any access to the Indian market. All the reviews here suggest the same crap. In all reviews, you will find how messy their operations are. Whoever is responsible for this (miss)management, he just does not deserve to be in that position.


Let me narrate my version of the story.




  1. I got my credit card. It's fine




  2. I never ever used it. It's fine.




  3. Unfortunately, I applied for a balance transfer. It's fine too. Below are the things, not fine.




  4. The DD never reached me. Their statements kept on reaching me. Bank assured me, that DD is with them.




  5. I called more than 25 times in 1 yr to waive it. They said sorry every time, but never resolved the issue.




  6. Statements kept on generating.




  7. I kept on receiving calls from agents/managers for recovery. On hearing, they say sorry and promise to rectify. Nothing happens




  8. The drama unfolds after some months, when their automated system started calling me every 30 mins, everyday.




  9. I assembled 28 of their numbers, from which they call and put it to silent mode. I am relieved.




  10. Their call center say sorry, but can't stop the calls, stating that unless it's reflected in next month';s statement, it will not stop. HAHAHA........ I am smarter, they are all going to blank calls. I am at peace. That "next month" never came.




  11. After around 11 months, finally I am relieved, they did their job. I cancelled the card, on getting confirmation of that.




  12. I even got CIBIL threats via their sms's. Bunch of Idiots.




  13. On cancellation confirmation, some sweet lady asked me the reason. You people please guess the answer I should have given.






If any Barclay idiot is reading this, go through the history. They are not even fit to be called a bank. God knows, how the heck they will survive. This is even worse that the worst bank in India, ICICI.
