July 12 2004. It was a pleasing and romantic climate in Bangalore, one of those days you just feel like taking the afternoon off, have a hot cup of tea and watch some nice movies..but it turned out otherwise for one family. The most unimagineable nightmare that could happen..
Am sure all bangaloreans must have read in the papers about this 7 year old boy Anish..happily returning from a corner shop...Unfortunately, he came into contact with a cable wire which was charged by the BESCOM live wire..it all happened so fast.. I rather not describe it.. I am writing this by no means to describe the gory aspects..it just leaves us all thinking.
The Bescom officials were intimated about this hanging loose death trap well in advance no effort / action taken - Maybe this was not a scare for them after all..unless they see one of their near ones all shaking and vibrating.. I rather not start on the inefficiencies of these govt bodies.. 2 days have passed what is the result BESCOM Says Cable TV operator at fault, CABLE TV Operator says, ''We dont know anything about the wire''..we keep pointing fingers..when will we stop blaming and start working towards a better India..
Will we never learn from our mistakes..? Where is all out tax money going...? Dont you think we should have Completely Underground Cables..See MUMBAI..!! We have an excellent forum and a community of objective thinking people amongst us..we can make a difference if we want to..we are citizens of a great country and have a responsibilty to make it the greatest..
It's time we accept our mistakes and learn from Nothing can get the 7 Year old back, we can sure make a difference to save the rest..People is Power. If we decide we can do it.. By A Very Disturbed Person..!!!!
